I was kindly gifted some bits and pieces from their huge array of beauty booty, and have some sneaky swatchettes to show!

The first little edit here is from a brand I already know and love, Lily Lolo.

These two eyeshadows – Truffle Shuffle (kee!) and Starry Eyed – are so beautiful to apply, and their single pan situation really would suit any minimal makeup wearers out there. Just pick your few shades and you’re set for everyday ease.

Application is so wonderfully sheer, yet saying that, not weak on pigment. You can achieve a mild wash or a deeper hue as you please, with either a brush or a finger. Their shadows are beyond ideal for any makeup novices out there – you simply cannot stuff these up!

At first try of Truffle Shuffle, I couldn’t help but get Satin Taupe vibes (old/current MAC lovers may know the incredible popularity of the cult shade). A greyish brown taupe that could make any eye colour pop, this Lily Lolo take is far more subdued and without the bold sheen.

Starry Eyed, a shimmering ultra white, seemed a bit full on at first but then I realised…ethereal fair girl highlighter! Dab some on the inner corners of the eye with your pinkie finger, on the cupids bow, heck EVERYWHERE and get set to glow.

Due to the buildability of these, you can definitely get a gorgeous gleam but do try to stop short of frosty. I went ham on this the other day and the register dude at Aldi kept giving me “do you wanna build a snowmaaaan” vibes.

And finishing off the Lily Lolo love with a blush – Just Peachy.

Peachy blush, black liner, coral or orange-red lips. You likely already know that these are a few of my favourite things.

And this cheek poppin’ babe is no exception. All day wear, builds like a dream – a perf everyday blush!

And our second part edit here is all about the new kids, Clove + Hallow.

Hailing from the US and fresh to Aussie shores, this line was created by makeup artist Sarah Biggers, who was driven to create clean cosmetics that still performed like cult faves in the industry. Her goal was to change the perception that natural products can’t compete with their conventional counterparts.

And by golly, I think she’s succeeded.

Let’s take a looksie into some of the line!

First up, the Clove + Hallow Lip Glaze in Mai Tai. A super glossy apricot with WAY more colour pow than I was expecting. Tres’ chuffed by that, as these click pen style glosses usually have weak payoff.

While sticky gloss is not my go-to product for lips, I could look past it simply because of the shade oomphyness of this.

Secondly a matte liquid lippy – the Lip Velvet to be exact – in the shade Uptown.

Personally, I can’t do overly matte or liquid lipsticks. I just cannot handle them. Not my jam AT ALL.

If they are YOUR cup of tea, however, maybe give these a try out! With shea butter and coconut oil, the crunchy effect is diminished and not as intense as others I’ve tried before. This shade Uptown IS absolutely tops though and this formula will say put for a LOOONG time.

Lastly, we have the Lip Creme in Creamsicle.

And this, my friends, IS my jam.

This pinkish coral feels so light on the lips and doesn’t dry matte. Now THAT’S my kinda lippy.

If you are a fan of Shanghai Suzy Lipsticks, you will love these just as much – a very similar formulation to their cremes. And these have the most scrummy orange sherbet scent!

Both the full Lily Lolo and Clove + Hallow lines are available at The Well Store, so feel free to go have a peek.

Everything Clove + Hallow make is vegan so go NOOTS, however, if it is something to watch out for with Lily Lolo. Only 90% of theirs is vegan-friendly, so I’ve included a handy list below of the non-vegan bits to avoid if that is your prerogy like me!

Some of my fave brands you might want to check out at The Well Store are Dr Bronners, Black Chicken Remedies, Hanami and Rosehip Plus. I myself am super chuffed to also see Skin Juice, Weleda, La Mav and Madara in their ranks too – am mega keen to try bits from these companies!

*This post is not a paid or sponsored promotion. The products were simply kindly gifted for consideration. As ABK is strictly cruelty-free and vegan only, we are incredibly selective about what we feature. Any products that appear on ABK are generally super stellar – you kinda gotta be to make it on here. They not only have to impress us but we’d like them to be ethical legends as well.
